LOCATION: Sittwe Based, Rakhine Area

This role has an area focus and ensures compliance to DRC procedures and guidelines within the area. The role contributes to the development of area strategies, which are translated into action plans and day-to-day tasks. The role provides support and/or technical guidance to base operations.

Contribute to the development of humanitarian affairs activities in the Mission by supporting the Management Coordination Team in the analysis of context, humanitarian situation, security and in the definition of advocacy strategies, according to MSF policies and values, in order to improve the humanitarian and human rights situation.

Overall purpose of the role: Protection Assistants (PA) work as part of a DRC's Protection Team, under the leadership of the Protection Officer for the protection activities in coordination with Incentive Workers (IWs) in the field areas. In addition, the PA works under the guidance of the Protection Manager.
