Purpose of this position
To provide overall leadership and management support to the Area Rehabilitation Program (ARP) which is
emphasizing on Child Protection, WASH, and Livelihood through the process of community participation,
ownership, and sustainability, while dressing the root causes of issues and problems. HEA Division so as to ensure
that the all projects work interdependently and achieve the program goal
To coordinate with partners, other humanitarian actors and local authority to build the effective networking at
Kachin State level
To arrange WV participation in all the clusters and coordination meetings at Kachin State level in regular basic
To lead in the assessment, preparation of new concept notes, and proposals
Ensure all the operations of ARP Kachin run smoothly and reach the target in time while managing the
operating staff ‘s activities.
Develop an effective communication network within the program areas and with WVM Kachin Team.
Day to day problems solving among community and ARP Team.
Encouragement, development and implementation of the program and personnel capacity building among
ARP Staff, volunteers, and partners.
Generally ongoing managing staff, Community Volunteers, community groups, program, office, program
related issues and collaboration/coordination issues with respective personnel and departments.
Provides capacity building trainings to staff on CP/WASH/Livelihood.
Perform other tasks duly assign by supervisor/ manager.
Require knowledge and skills
3 years managerial experience in related area.
Significant experience in variety of disaster prone areas.
Bachelor degree in any discipline. Master’s Degree in any discipline is preferable.
Excellent knowledge of local context and organizational culture.
Excellent knowledge on Disaster Response, DRR and CBDRR.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Good judgment and knowledge of media ethics.
Responds promptly in a professional manner.
