Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources
  • Support the implementation of accounting processes and strong internal controls to ensure governance over accounting and reporting activities
  • Record daily general ledger entries accurately and on time. Support month-end and year-end closing activities in accordance with local/international accounting standards
  • Prepare schedules, details of accounts and other supporting documents for the purposes of accounts analyses and reconciliations
  • Compile and organize financial information in a meaningful way to facilitate budgeting and variance analysis
  • Gather and compile basic financial information and support superior in preparing financial reports (profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow statements, etc.) for presentation to senior management
  • Provide administrative support to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the timeliness, accuracy and quality of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
  • Compile and distribute financial information, including ad hoc reports and analyses as requested by internal stakeholders
    Respond to queries and requests for information by external auditors to facilitate the auditing process and statutory financial reporting


Job Requirements

  • Diploma or professional qualification in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline
  • Up to two years' experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of the business and industry
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge and application of local/international accounting standards, principles and practices
  • Proven hands-on experience in SAP accounting applications is an advantage
  • Demonstrate advanced research and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally in English, both written and spoken
