Job Description/Requirements

Main objective of the position:

Under the line management of the Project Manager, the Case Management Officer is responsible for

ensuring the proper implementation of HI beneficiary pathways for conflict affected persons with

specific needs (particularly physical rehabilitation and psychosocial support) through referral

management, coordination and supervision of HI case workers.

Responsibility 1: Ensure the implementation and monitoring of the case management cycle

(identification, beneficiary pathway and final monitoring)

- Maintain effective identification and selection of beneficiaries by ensuring standard tools and

procedures are in place and adhered by the team.

- Supervise the implementation of HI beneficiaries case management according to beneficiary


o assist the team to assess and prioritize cases based on HI criteria and tools

o ensure multidisciplinary response plan is developed jointly by physiotherapist and psycho-social

support workers

o ensure follow up sessions and discharge are timely and appropriately provided at field level

- Collaborate in the weekly planning of the Outreach and technical Workers and operate their daily


- Ensure data collection tools are used properly by the teams to report on activities

- Ensure regular case review meetings are conducted with team, PO and PM to reflect on the status of

cases and waiting list

- Identify and share with the PM needs for development and adapt relevant tools (general follow up

management cycle, referral forms, team planning…) to improve on case management system and

overall quality of HI service delivery.

- Identify staff needs on referrals and case management, organize capacity building plans for the same



• University degree in social work, social science psychology, public health, human rights or related degree

• At least 2-year previous experience as case management in humanitarian setting

• At least 2-year experience with international or local NGOs


• Burmese: Fluent

• English: Fluent

• Strong planning/organizational skills

• Ability to solve problems

• Excellent communication, motivational and listening skills

• Excellent computer skills (MS Office minimum)

• Good reporting skills in English

• Diplomacy
