Job Description/Requirements

Job Background:

The Deputy SRHR Program Manager will manage the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

program of Plan International Myanmar “Development and provision of a Comprehensive Sexuality

Education curriculum for out of school youth and adolescents in Kayin State project”. S/he will provide

technical insight and management support to the provision of CSE curriculum to the out of school

youth in Myawaddy township. The position holder will work closely with SRHR Advisor to provide

trainings of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) curriculum to partner organization and project

management. A key function of this role is to document learnings from curriculum delivery and share

with other Plan International Myanmar SRHR projects in other areas related to Community of Practice

of CSE. The position is based in Country Office, Yangon with minimum 60% travel to project areas.

Role and Responsibilities

 Manage CSE curriculum delivery for out of school youth by local partner organization with quality

 Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) and refresher training to partners staff

 Project management in quality CSE curriculum delivery required

 Partnership Management

 Systematic documentation of learnings

 Production of quality printing and publication

 Expansion of delivery modality to other areas as a Community of Practice

 Donor and National Office relation

 Provide CSE insights to new business development

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

 Ability to speak Myanmar Language fluently

 Bachelor’s degree in health related subjects and preferably a master’s degree in Public Health

or other development related subjects

 Minimum 5 years of demonstrated professional experience in SRHR technical and support

especially CSE 

 Understanding of integrated development issues such as Adolescent and Youth Programing,

Safe Migration, and Gender Equality and Inclusion

 Experience working with adolescents and young people necessary

 Extensive experience in assessing, strengthening capacity, monitoring and cooperating with

local NGOs/ partners

 Good knowledge of community development in Myanmar

 Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written

 Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment

 Integrity and excellent interpersonal skills including communication, facilitation and team

building skills
