CFSI in Myanmar seeks qualified, experienced applicants with diverse backgrounds to work in Rakhine State particularly in Maungdaw, Buthidaung, and Rathedaung Townships, and with duty station in Maungdaw.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities: The Finance Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator and

the technical and functional supervision of the Finance Officer. Finance Assistant (FA) maintains updated

books of accounts of all project-related transactions, observing the principle of check and balance in the

recording and disbursement of funds; S/He records all financial transactions related to all project activities

and prepares all project-related financial reports required for project partner. S/He makes all financial

records and reports available for inspection and review at the field level. S/He prepares documents and

forms required for the timely disbursement of monthly staff payroll and payments to project staff,

including cash advances, reimbursements of refunds, and payments to project suppliers, vendors, facilities’

lessors and service providers. The Finance Assistant prepares regularly cash flow requirements and

coordinates with Finance Officer for banking and remittance requirement; keeps the Project Coordinator

updated on all financial transactions and financial condition and requirements of the project;

Qualifications: University degree preferably in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics,

Banking and Finance or Liberal Arts; Certification on LCCI Level III Training; At least three years of

progressively responsible experience responsibility in the fields of actual accounting, finance, or auditing,

preferably with an international organization; Thorough understanding of non-profit accounting;

Demonstrated oral and written communication skills in English, and in Myanmar language; Excellent

interpersonal skills; Knowledgeable about Rakhine State ; Proactive approach to problem-solving and

responsibilities; Able to work in a high stress, multi-cultural and multi-task environment; willing to work

in Rakhine State; Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook; and Proficient in

appropriate accounting software, particularly QuickBooks
