Job Summary

The finance officer is responsible for the overall management of donor fund, cash handling functions and the internal organization support. Additionally, he/she is responsible for understanding of all EMReF policies and procedures, donor requirements, Myanmar laws and regulations and protection of confidential records.

Job Description/Requirements


 Prepare cash and bank payment and receipt vouchers with the supportive documents in compliance

with internal and donor policies

 Record the cash, bank and visa transaction in the excel spread sheet according to the internal and

donor policies

 Prepare the journal entry control for bank, cash and visa expenditures of core and project funds are

accurate in line with defined projects, budget heading and account code

 Prepare monthly financial reports (core and donor Funds) in timely manner and in compliance with

internal and donor policies

 Scanning the supportive documents for the payment and receipt voucher for donor if required

 Check the financial report with the attached supportive documents

 Communication with donor finance team for the reporting and other matters

 Dealing with Admin & HR, Logistic Officer and Research Manager for the project activities

 Manage other/donor receivables and payables when occur in period

 Submit the financial report are timely to immediate supervisor/ donor

 Preparing the payment request and receipt acknowledgment for Donor Fund

 Issue cheque and cash deposit to Bank and Visa Card

 Check and budget monitor for all expenses and cash flow

 Prepare the salary payment process for Program and Project staffs

 Monitor cash handling Process (MMK/USD)

 Monitor all staffs’ advance payment clearance and reimburse expenses for project activities

Required Qualifications and Skill:

 A University Graduate with additional qualifications in the accounting field LCCI( Level3)

 At least 3 years experiences in this position and cash handling

 Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles

 High computer literacy in MS word, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint, Internet and Email

 Should be organized, systematic and must interact well with others and team work skill

 Creative and good management skills

 Ability to work to tight deadlines in meeting the report and willingness to travel to workshop

activity if necessary

 Excellent reporting with multicurrency, communication both oral and correspondence in English

and Myanmar and presentation skills
