About the role 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly energetic Financial Analyst to join the CMHL finance team. 

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work with CMHL strategic, planning & analysis team on month ends reporting efficiency with insights. Engage with stakeholders to understand key business drivers, reporting requirements, and perform analysis as required across the CMHL retail business.  You will also act as a business partner to relevant Business Units.


Key responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the preparation, review and analysis of certain financial reporting processes 

• Delivering commentary and insights around key financial and non-financial metrics on our Fixed Assets and reporting

• Analyze and collate results and prepare key findings

• Monitor data to identify changes in financial and business trends and provide recommendations for improvement

• Evaluating capital expenditures and asset depreciation.

• Assist preparation of presentation material for top management

• Perform value add analysis for the wider Retail function

• Work closely with internal finance stakeholders to create and deliver insights - Improve team ways of working by introducing innovative analysis, systems efficiencies, improving processes and providing constructive challenge to all areas

• Partner with Business unit managers and operations manager for provision of financial and productivity support and insight on P&L results through bench-marking and coaching best practice

• Liaise with both external and internal auditors


Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance

• Prefer ACCA/CPA accredited or candidates

• Prefer Retail Business experiences

• Proven ability to communicate in an effective manner across the business/ Finance Business Partnering

• Advanced excel skills essential

• Strong experience building reporting packs and dashboards

• Analysis and insights

• Strategic thinker 

• Stakeholder Management – Strong communication skills and relationship building skills

• People Management

• Time Management

• Strong systems experience ( SAP preferred )
