Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Business Officer the Head of Business (HoB) will directly manage the whole Business Development Department. The role is responsible for managing the company's current and potential client base, ensuring consistent and solid growth in revenue and margin to meet company goals and targets.

Job Description/Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

·        Oversee the day to day management of the Business Development Department

·        Ensuring all major client accounts are managed professionally and in line with those client's business requirements

·        Monitor customer satisfaction with existing clients to ensure service delivery is being met and address any gaps in the company's service offerings

·        Work closely with CBO to plan, assess and deliver company revenue and margin targets over the short and long term

·        Work closely with the CBO and BD Manager to plan sales strategies to meet those targets

·        Take initiative to work directly and closely across multiple departments to achieve desired results through alignment, better communication and coordination.

·        Analyse existing approaches to the development of business and make changes where appropriate

·        Analyse and report to CBO potential market changes and developments

·        Identifying sales opportunities as a result of  those market changes

·        Take leading role  with CBO and BD Manager to set up ambitious targets and KPIs within the BD Department.

·        Compile monthly reports for the CBO and ensures all the BD Department are reporting in a timely and accurate manner and maintaining the CRM

·        Monitor and report BD Teams KPI’s with CBO, BD Manager and HR on a monthly basis

·        Hold, lead regular BD Meetings, and workshop discussions as necessary

·        Look to form strategic partnerships with other companies to leverage their existing networks.

·        Develop and deliver a training program with the HR Manager, BD Manager and CBO to increase the overall skills and competencies of the BD Team

·        Represent the company at networking events, expos and seminars throughout Myanmar

·        Work closely with CBO and BD Manager to develop new departments and services in line with overall company strategy and growth plans



·        Minimum 6 years’ experience in the logistics sector in Myanmar with inland road transportation, freight forwarding and customs clearance knowledge

·        Minimum 4  years senior management and sales experience, preferably in the logistics sector

·        Related degree preferably in supply or business

·        Logistics and supply chain qualifications are desirable

·        Deep understanding of all major industry sectors in Myanmar and their overall logistics needs

·        Proven track record in meeting revenue targets and devising strategies to meet those targets

·        Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close potential clients and quotations

·        Proven account management history with MNCs and major local companies

·        Experience in CRM and tracking all parts of sales cycle

·        Customer focused and a team player with excellent interpersonal skills

·        Timely and detailed reporting abilities

·        Able and willing to travel throughout Myanmar as and when required

·        Excellent time management and calendar planning

·        Fluent English both written and verbal

·        High level of compentcey in  MS office, PowerPoint, Excel and other relevant applications
