Job background:

Plan International Myanmar is seeking Humanitarian Project Officer (ECCD) to support the implementation of

project activities and ensure that technical human resources and capacity are in place. The Humanitarian Project

Officer (ECCD) will be responsible for supporting the quality implementation of ECCD activities to provide a

protective environment for targeted children in selected villages in Minbya Township. The Humanitarian Project

Officer (ECCD) will focus on planning, implementation and monitoring of ECCD activities in collaboration and

support from team members while conducting basic trainings to community mobilisers and caregivers in target

villages. This is a full-time position based in Mrauk U with at least 70% of the time spent in the field.

Job purpose:

The Humanitarian Project Officer (ECCD) will have a key role in identifying and selecting communities for the

establishment of the project. He/she facilitates local level awareness raising campaigns on ECCD and Parenting

Education activities in targeted area. The HPO ECCD liaisons with the local authorities and concerned

Government departments regarding project activities. The position has to develop detailed implementation

schedule at the field level together with PU ECCD Manager. He/she ensures that the programme takes steps to

counter discrimination against gender equality in program operation. Humanitarian Project Officer (ECCD)

represents Plan Myanmar in various forums and coordination meetings at township level. This position has to

report activity progress to the PU ECCD Manager. Humanitarian Project Officer (ECCD) ensures reporting and

programme implementation meet donor requirements and are timely and of quality.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

 Ability to speak Myanmar Language fluently

• Bachelor degree

• Minimum Three years of demonstrated relevant experience

• Knowledge of ECCD and parenting education concepts

• Extensive experience assessing, building capacity, monitoring and cooperating with local NGOs

• Good knowledge of community development in Myanmar

• Experience in implementing partnership approach projects

• Experience of working with children and communities is an advantage

• Strong team-building and facilitation skills
