Medical coordinator (ahrn)

Job Summary

The job holder is responsible for technical support to the partnering private sector providers (GPs) and KPSC staff members to provide quality clinical services to HIV related patients. The job holder will lead the medical logistic team and is also responsible for strengthening and implementing Alliance Myanmar’s supply chain system

Essential

 A medical doctor with at least 5-year experience of HIV clinical management and knowledge on

updates on HIV/AIDS

 Sound knowledge on supply chain system and management

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 Good experience in providing training and facilitating workshops

Preferable

 Knowledge and interest in providing treatment for other communicable disease like TB, STI, Viral

Hepatitis and COVID 19

 Experience in conducting community research

 Experience in working with Self Help Groups, local NGOs and CBOs

 Good computer and software application skills

Major responsibilities and tasks

1. Support, Oversight and Monitoring of GPs (General practitioners)

 Ensure regular site visits to GP with the assistance of program officers:

o Monitor the quality of clinical management and record keeping in the GP clinics

o Assist the GP in the management of complicated patients and provide on job training.

o Monitor the quality of the information given to patients

o Observe the behaviour and attitudes of the GP to the patients

 Feedback the identified problems in the technical meetings between the programme managers

and the technical team.

 Organise regular GP review meetings and encourage a forum of discussion

2. Coordination and implementation of training

 Prepare a training plan in coordination with the program officers

 Research the resources for each training/workshop. For each training, prepare an in depth

training agenda

 Implement the theoretical training with the assistance of program officer and the programme

manager

 Collect feedback from the participants and provide a debriefing with the other co-facilitators after

each training

 Organise practical training for new GP to relevant institutions or GP clinics

3. Develop an accreditation process

 Lead to the GP annual evaluation and facilitate GPs/KPSC staff completing a self- assessment

form

 Assist GPs/KPSC staff members to develop a personal development plan if it is required and

ensure they provide quality services

 Analysis the accreditation assessment and develop plans for clinic technical support visits

4. Lead medical logistic team

 Supervise medical logistic team to make sure the effective medical supply chain system

 Communicate with respective donor for medical logistic issues and quarterly stock report

 Supervise and support the medical logistic team for regular drug refilling, regular stock check,

monthly consumption report

 Prepare the Quarterly stock report and submit to donors with approval of line manager

5. Representation and coordination

 Maintain good relation with the Alliance Myanmar's partner organisations, government and donor

agencies, and other NGOs in a manner appropriate to the leading role of ART program.

 Participate in forums and meetings to foster collaboration with other organizations.

 Represent the organization to donors or government as needed

6. Programme Development and Information Sharing

 Contribute to overall development of the ART programme in relevant areas of expertise

 Provide technical support to new partner organization to provide ART and HIV related treatment

 Facilitate the monthly collection of monitoring data and participate to its analysis

 Participate in the Management Staff meeting

 Participate to the technical meeting as needed

 Identify, record and share the key learning of the project
