Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities
- Hiring: work with Head
of Business and HR Officer to recruit, interview and hire 40-60 Merchant
Acquisition Agents (MAAs)
- Onboarding: teach new MAAs about their responsibilities (see below)
- Organization: assign MAAs into teams, assign regions/townships to teams
- Targets: assign daily / weekly / monthly targets to teams and MAAs
- Performance: ensure all teams and MAAs achieve targets
- Data Management: ensure MAAs upload all data (forms, documents and photos) to
Google Sheets
- Continuous Improvement: provide ongoing training, support and mentorship to
teams and MAAs
- Identifying local Merchants (restaurants and shops)
- Introducing mobile money QR payment services to Merchant owners/managers
- Persuading Merchant owners/managers to sign up
- Assisting Merchant owners/managers to download / sign in to mobile money app
- Placing QR stands, stickers and banner in the shop
Qualifications
- 2+ years managing
merchant acquisition teams / agents (telco agents, mobile money agents, or
similar) on a regional or national level (required)
- Excellent communications skills
- Excellent sales (persuasion) skills and experience
- Ability to lead teams & detail focused
- Strong work ethic (focused, dedicated)
- Willing to as long/hard as needed to achieve goals
- Able to use spreadsheets (Google Sheets)
