Job Description/Requirements

Specific tasks to be performed by the consultant:

Under the overall guidance and supervision of National Programme Coordinator, the incumbent will be

responsible to:

Undertaking workshop preparation and facilitation of anti-corruption workshop and training initiatives:

• Provide input to agendas and methodologies using an interactive approach;

• Facilitate experiential, knowledge-to-action activities for participants

• Prepare activities, presentations and other materials to ensure interactivity and team building

during workshops; including:

o Ensuring that everyone is included and engaged in activities throughout the event, and no

one is left behind

o Maintaining positive mood of participants and mitigating any negative circumstances that

may arise

• Design and deliver components of workshop as necessary;

Managing the learning and stock-taking process during and after workshop/training activities:

• Ensure that workshop/training activities are conducted in an interactive and participatory style;

• Ensure that participants have clearly understood objectives and group tasks;

• Facilitate participants’ sharing of experiences and identification of priorities;

• Facilitate concrete action planning;

• Participate and contribute to debriefing sessions at the end of every training day

• Monitor the learning process and ensure it moves participants toward expected outcomes,

through formal and informal assessment techniques and instruments;

• Participate in and/or facilitate writing and discussion of the workshop report.

Education:

A University degree (or) advanced degree in social science, development studies or equivalent, from a

recognized national institution or other training college.

Experience:

• At least 7 years of work experience with facilitation, with a focus on designing and facilitating

multi-stakeholder planning and change processes, workshops and meetings for United Nations

and/or other international, regional or bilateral development organizations;

• 1-year experience in working on anti-corruption issues and facilitation of similar events, is

essential;

• 3-year experience and expertise in designing and implementing a wide range of interactive

methods for adult learning and change processes;

• Cultural sensitivity and experience in moderating meetings of culturally diverse and international

groups;

• Knowledge of Myanmar’s political environment;

• Demonstrated ability in facilitating creative-thinking and innovation learning events;

• Experience working collaboratively in a team structure in a multicultural environment.

Language:

Excellent command of English language and Myanmar language, both spoken and written.
