Required Qualifications:

 Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent

 Must have the ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

 One or more years of experience in telecommunications OSP infrastructure Maintenance &

project Implementation

 Proficiency in Microsoft office applications - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Job Description

 Perform (Telecom, Fiber, FTTx) field engineering, and work with Network Engineers, Project

Managers, etc. to create efficient route designs and cost estimates.

 Coordinate and obtain access and ROW (right-of-way) agreements when required.

 Coordinates permitting and pole applications, joint-trenching, and make-ready for utility poles.

 Function as the company representative with other utility and state/local entities for field


 Inspect (Telecom, Fiber, FTTx) networks and ensure optical mainline and drop network is

available for product deployments.

 Ensure all work is completed in accordance with the client’s construction standards, processes,

and procedures.

 Estimate network construction costs, prepare budgets, and track expenses.

 Ensure standards, processes and procedures for network design and deployment are followed.

 Ensure accurate and complete files are maintained for projects and appropriate closeout

documentation is complete in accordance with Fiber Rise process and procedures.

 Maintain project documentation and reporting.

 Serve as single point of contact for splice issues, construction print issues, redlines.

 Assist field personnel and construction contractors real-time OTDR plots & Optical power

readings, etc.

 Work with company project management and operations personnel to manage the project

schedule, to ensure the project milestones and deadlines are met.

 Responsible for all OSP material inventory including receiving and issuing equipment/materials

out to crews.

 Act as safety observer and Quality Assurance representative for the fiber cable OSP project to

ensure compliance. with Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as the client’s safety program

and related workmanship practices.

 Troubleshoot and solve fiber cable OSP issues and make recommendations to ensure the project

and budget are maintained.

 Plan, coordinate, oversee and inspect new, rebuild and upgrade (Telecom, Fiber, FTTx)

construction projects with in-house and subcontractor crews
