Job Summary

Job Description/Requirements

Primary Responsibilities

• Work together with Senior Program Coordinator while developing plans for activities of ICD Unit

• Assist Senior Program Coordinator for providing inputs in project development, selection of

relevant consultant and trainings

• Work together with Senior Program Coordinator for developing and implementing effective

interventions on public health, community development and emergency response projects based

on culturally and situation-appropriate adaptations of international best practices

• Assist Senior Program Coordinator while reviewing and updating technical recommendations

related to the current projects, and writing up briefs documenting rationale and evidence for

each recommendation

• Establish, strengthen and sustain the good relationships/ coordination with concerning

implementing partners, local authorities and other relevant organizations

• Cooperate with Senior Program Coordinator for handling new grants/ projects before hand-over

to a specific team

• Contribute to the main actions of the ICD unit like generating and institutionalizing new idea,

coordination with different stakeholders, delivering basic and essential health care services to


• Stay up to date on the latest developments in the evidence base and international best practices

related to public health technical

Regular Responsibilities

• Build regular coordination with ethnic health organizations, civil society organizations, and nongovernment organizations

• Participate in strengthening the capacity of partner organizations like CSOs and EHOs in terms of

providing technical assistance and close supervision

• Manage sub grants, project budget and preparation of costed-work plans of local partners for

public health, community development and emergency assistance programs


• University degree in Health or Public Health related preferable

• Minimum three years’ experience in public health program in an international organization

• Good presentation skills, writing and analytical skills; with fluency on both written and spoken


• Excellent software skills for MS Word, Excel, Power point (statistical software preferred)

• Demonstrated experience in mentorship, coaching, training, planning and capacity building

• Good communication and facilitations skills

• Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Ability to establish priorities in a time sensitive environment and meet deadlines with strong

attention to consistency, detail and quality

• Comfortable working with variety of partners and navigating complex relationships

• Ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders with different

cultural backgrounds;

• Flexibility to allow for travel (up to 50% of work time), variable working hours, and some

modifications of tasks and responsibilities as team and project needs change
