Job Description/Requirements

Responsibility 1:Identification, registration, referral, follow-up, and case closure

• Throughout weekly plans, conduct door-to-door visits to support the identification and registration of persons with specific needs.

• Upon relevant or adequate support and collaboration with the project Manager or HI’s specialized Officer(s), ensure timely and quality follow-up of service provision, in line with the general guidelines on timing and frequency associated with a risk assessment.

• In collaboration with Camp-based volunteers, participate in establishing movement plans for Camp-based volunteers and ensure on-the-job coaching of volunteers shadowing activities, from identification to case closure.

• Support camp-based volunteers for follow-up of beneficiaries and case management, ensuring adequate data collection and activity monitoring.

Responsibility 2:Data Collection, Storage, Analysis, and Sharing

• Ensure the data entry and documentation of the cases in line with HI's standard operating procedures on case management and data governance as well as international standards.

• Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential case files, including registration tokens (barcodes) and forms, through guidance from the Technical Unit and MEAL department.

• Upon request of the Project Manager, report on weekly or monthly achievements and issues in the implementation of the program, safely and ethically.

• Attend monthly coordination meeting and discuss/refer, on an ad-hoc basis any challenge or perceived potential threat in the conduct of activities with relevant Technical Advisor or Senior Technical Officer as well as Project Manager.

Responsibility 3: Networking and representation

• Ensure the data entry and documentation of the cases in line with HI's standard operating procedures on case management and data governance as well as international standards. •

Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential case files, including registration tokens (barcodes) and forms, through guidance from the Technical Unit and MEAL department.

• Upon request of the Team Manager, report on weekly or monthly achievements and issues in the implementation of the program, safely and ethically.

• Attend monthly Project Officers-Service Linkage coordination meeting and discuss/refer, on an ad-hoc basis any challenge or perceived potential threat in the conduct of activities with relevant Technical Advisor or Senior Technical Officer as well as Team Manager.

Responsibility 4:Other roles

• Maintain positive work relationships within the team and promote team-building efforts.

• Upon request, actively participate in training and coaching provided by HI and external partners.

• Ensure compliance with HI technical standards and Code of Conduct.

• Ensure PSEA and Child Safeguarding standards are upheld.


Qualification(s): Bachelor’s degree in social work, social studies, geography, public health, or other related filed.Master’s degree in social work, social studies, geography, public health, or other related filed.

Experience:

•   Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in an International or National NGO.

• Experience in providing humanitarian/emergency health support

• Experience in Internally Displaced Persons Response a plus

• Experience in contributing to data collection and indicator tracking within development projects or programs;

• Experience in humanitarian case management and follow-up

Competencies: 

• Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, work independently, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail.

• Understanding of age, gender & disability and inclusion principles and practices

• Have the capacity to maintain close relationships with partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries

• Burmese: Fluent

• Computer knowledge (MS office package)

• Good English level

• Kachin language

Personal qualities:

• Able to work in harsh conditions

• Good physical condition

• Strong team Works approach

• Communication skills

• Knowledge of disability and development issues in Myanmar

• Sensitized on issue related child protection, protection of genderbased violence etc.

• Experience of working in a remote community setting is an advantage

• Experienced in Humanitarian Context, preferably in the field of rehabilitation, inclusion.

• Experience working in multidisciplinary context
