Project Officer - Monghpyak (MHAA)

Job Description/Requirements


1. Manage and lead the MNCH project implementation together with field project staffs MHAA

Township Project Coordinator (TPC), Township M&E Coordinator (TMEC), Field Finance

Assistant (FFA), Outreach Workers and Basic Health Staff (BHS) from respective townships

2. To coordinate and collaborate Partner closely and support him/her in leading the formulating

and implementation process of ACCESS Funded Township Health Plan

3. Organize, support, and facilitate to build up regular stakeholder coordination meeting, monthly

BHS meeting at township level and with BHS plus health actors at RHC level (EHO’s service

providers, Village Health Committee (VHC) members, and Community Based Health Workers)

4. Jointly plan, lead and organize community level special advocacy events such as National

Immunization Day and Nutrition Promotion Month activities

5. Assist to Township Public Health Department for technical supports on supervision visit,

meetings, trainings and action planning

6. Organize timely procurement and supply of essential drugs, diagnostics, and other consumables

for target health facilities by coordination with Yangon office

7. Support and assist the development of effective partnership between health facilities,

Community Based Health Workers, and Village Health Committees for strengthening referral

mechanisms and monitor the effectiveness of the referral system

8. Conduct Activity Monitoring and Budget Monitoring of ACCESS Funded Township Health Plan


9. Assist the design of activities that promote equitable access to the services for marginalized

people in the township

10. Prepare monthly M&E reports by compiling and/or validating data and providing narrative

Technical Progress Report

11. Establish functioning systems and databases to ensure routine use of captioned photos showing

“MHAA in action” and produce beneficiary testimonies after gaining informed consent.

Skills and Requirements

❖ Bachelor degree related to Health with at least 2 years of nutrition related experience

❖ Experience in organizing, planning and implementing in training of volunteers

❖ Good level of written and spoken English

❖ Must have computer skills in MS office

❖ Ability to work systematically, accurately, independently and under pressure in a physically

challenging environment.

❖ Flexibility - ability to work with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural people, open-minded,

good communication skills, ability to listen, diplomacy

❖ Good interpersonal communication skills

❖ Respect and regard Myanmar Health Assistant Association (MHAA) Policy.
