Job Description/Requirements

Main responsibilities▪ Participates in the delegation security/safety meetings and provides analysis on developments andpotential safety impacts on ICRC staff & assets.▪ Advises Fleet or the situation room (if relevant), on possible movements in Yangon▪ Contributes to the expansion and strengthening of ICRC networking with security interlocutors▪ Contributes to the development and implementation of security rules and relevant security andsafety protocols▪ Supports premises department in term of passive security and participate in premises assessmentin Yangon▪ Supports the security guard manager in Yangon in term of active security, identifying possibleadaptation in the security setup▪ Contributes to YAN welcome package on safety for all new delegates/staff/visitors and overseesthe quarterly updating of the Welcome file. Provide security briefing when requested▪ Contributes to contingency plans, evacuation plans and related training of the staff on how tobehave in case of emergency (Fire/Medical evacuation, natural disasters, etc.)▪ Participates in the tripartite (ICRC/IFRC/MRCS) security meeting▪ Provides advice and technical support on security management to the MRCS, including via trainingif relevant.Requirements and experience▪ University degree in a relevant discipline.▪ At least 5 years’ work experience in security management.▪ Excellent communication skills, and fluency in written and spoken English as well as MyanmarThe International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral andindependent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives anddignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them withassistance.
