Our company is on the hunt for a talented and experienced director of sales to lead our sales department. We need a self-motivated professional with proven managerial experience and an outstanding track record in sales. In this position, you will be responsible for meeting our annual sales targets within assigned regions and accounts.
Your duties will include motivating our sales team, designing strategic sales plans, and assessing costs and competition. In addition to being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate exceptional negotiation and leadership skills.
o Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
o Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
o Develop and promote weekly, monthly and quarterly sales objectives.
o Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
o Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
o Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
o Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
o Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
o Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
o Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director
o Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
o In-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and best practices.
o Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
o Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
o Proven ability to position products against competitors
o Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
o Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
o Excellent verbal and written communications skills
o Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or a relevant field.
