 Performance Management  Compensation and Benefit

Job Description

§  Ensure the appropriate strategies, business plans, policies and procedures are developed, approved, communicated to the respective department and implemented so that the departmental strategic imperative are met.

§  Oversee and manages all activities related to the performance management cycle and manages all communications, sensitization and monitoring of the process to ensure its effectiveness and relevance to the business.

§  Establish and maintain linkages between the performance management and other department functions to ensure uniformity in the application of policies and procedures.

§  Lead and manage the performance management related issues at PME.

§  Design, implement and monitor Performance Management to enable employees understanding of the goals of PME and to identify how individual inputs contribute to the achievement of PME objectives, specifically through managing the performance cycle.

§  Prepare and present reports detailing the status of Performance Management to Unit Head so that informed decision may be taken on behalf of HR department

§  Provide leadership and coordination for Performance Management and improvement initiatives, ensuring their alignment to improving PME operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.

§  Implement performance management communication strategy aimed at creating awareness and keeping all employees fully informed.

§  Understand compensation and benefits best practices and assist the Head of Human Resources in maintaining a competitive compensation and benefits strategy. Conduct benefit communications with employees at all levels.

§  Coordinate annual salary surveys to arrive at a proposed annual salary scale recommendation, to be approved by the Head of HR. Participate in appropriate salary surveys.

§  Assist in implementing and administering benefit programs, including medical, dental, disability, life insurance, workers’ compensation, employee assistance, retirement and others plans.

§  Become knowledgeable and retain updated knowledge in the employee benefit plans in order to answer questions that might arise.

§  Assist Head of HR in annual budget preparation in the areas of compensation and benefits.

§  Analyzes current compensation and benefit policies in order to support decisions necessary to establish market-competitive benefit program.

§  Responsible for managing and tracing employee compensation and benefit related costs while staying within pre-set budget.

§  Participate in the new employee orientation program to foster positive attitude towards the PME goals and strategies.

§  Recommends benefit plan changes to management.

§  Ensures legal compliance to all benefit laws.

§  Provide guidance to and share knowledge and colleagues/team members relating to own specialization.

§  Produce Ad-hoc reports as requested by Head of HR.

§  Participate in wage surveys when appropriate and report the results to the Head of HR for potential action.

§  Manage daily operation of staff SSB, income tax, Health care, Insurance programs

§  Take responsibility for the effective outcome of team work.

§  Liaise with Head of HR on regular basis regarding verification on interpretations or processes, trends and issues which may have wide reaching implications.

§  To carry out any other reasonable duties as may from time to time be requested the Head of HR and CEO.
