Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Automation Engineer

Ø  Support, participate and perform commissioning duties as needed, including system validation, implementation, system training and documentation

Ø  Provide troubleshooting support of systems as needed

Ø  Support process equipment and facility engineering, design, integration, documentation specification and validation

Ø  Perform root cause failure analysis and problem solving

Ø  Responsible for automated and semi-automated precision assemblies

Ø  Determines new equipment layout for approval

Ø  Prepares detailed equipment specifications

Ø  Cooperate with Engineering Team

Experience Requirements and Competencies for the Automation Engineer

Ø  BE ( Mechatronics ) in Engineering (or) equivalent combination of education and experience

Ø  3- 5 years of automation engineering experience (or) 4-8 years of related experience; ( or ) equivalent combination of education and experience

Ø  Experience in manufacturing environment ( especially, manufacturing companies using PLC & HMI )

Ø  Good understanding of process concept, automation, and technology trends

Ø  Strong ability to work in teams

Ø  Highly effective and persuasive communication skills

Ø  Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and engineering team

Ø  High attention to detail and sense of urgency

Ø  Able to meet deadlines

Ø  Positive attitude, constantly raising the performance bar, being proactive

Requirements

Ø  Adhere to Automation Solutions' standardized conventions and guidelines.

Ø  Willingness to write disciplined, organized and well-documented code

Ø  Expert proficiency implementing/troubleshooting PLCs, HMI, motion control, servo systems, industrial sensors.

Ø  Experience commissioning and troubleshooting automation systems.

Ø  ANSI C/C++ Programming

Ø  Experience with panel design, wiring and electrical related documentation

Ø  Ethernet Networking

Ø  Fluent in ANSI Y32.2/IEEE and IEC electrical schematic symbols and layouts ( optional )

Ø  Fluent in ANSI/ISA S5.1 P&ID process schematics symbols and layouts. ( optional )

Ø  3 – 5 Years of experience in all requirements
