Effectively assist the Executive Committee’s functions of managing MMFA in the implementation of its vision and missions.

Main responsibilities in Details

  • Operation Management
  • Assist the Executive Committee (EC) to develop MMFAs strategyandto accomplish its vision, mission and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with MMFA’s policies, donor conditions and statutory requirements in country of operation
  • Assist EC in development of policies and standard operation procedures of the association and uphold them in all operations
  • Define and implement the annual work plan, financial projections and budgets to be approved by the EC
  • Monitor, follow-up, and report on activities, notably to the EC
  • Ensure regular contact with the EC by keeping them updated on the progress of the activities and the challenges met
  • Organise EC meetings and annual General Assemblies
  • Follow up and represent in local events relating to MMFA, its functions and the myanmar microfinance sector as a whole on behalf of EC
  • Actively manage the institution building process of the association and its activities
  • Oversee the production of all necessary documentations and reports
  • Identify human resources needs and recruit staff accordingly
  • Lead, supervise, and oversee the Operation officer and Finance Officer conducting their respective duties
  • Lead, coach, develop, and retain a high-performance team to effectively implement MMFA activities
  • Other administrative functions


Partnership, Fundraising and Grant Management -under supervision of EC, CEO is to

  • Develop and implement partnership strategies
  • Develop and implement a fundraising strategy
  • Manage and coordinate fundraising through a variety of channels (events, individual donors grant applications etc.)
  • Ensure timely submission of related reports to financial partners


Policy Advocacy

  • Support members and EC to identify priority topics for lobbying, to define MMFA lobbying strategy and implement activities accordingly
  • Organize the regular meetings,working committee meetings and assemblies, actively promoting all others activities of the association
  • Ensure MMFA’s visibility through various communication channels.


Services to members

  • Assist the EC in development of various services for Association’s members and implement them.


Communication and Knowledge Management, under the close supervision of EC,

  • Contribute to the promotion and visibility of MMFA
  • Ensure efficient communication with the partners and stakeholders with relevant information of the sector
  • Manage web site, email account and the facebook pageSupervise the collection, analysis and publication of country sector data.


Membership

  • Monitor members to be in compliance with MMFA’s policies and conditions and produce a status report
  • Identify opportunities for and develop new member products and services
  • Maintain high member satisfaction


The Profile that we are looking for .. a person confident to conduct the TOR mentioned, having

  • Education Level-minimum of a university degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent, a Master’s Degree would be preferable
  • Work Experience -Minimum 10 years professional experience, including 5 in inclusive financing(optional)
  • Mandatory Knowledge –in Myanmar microfinance sector and its various stakeholders
  • Mandatory Language -Burmese and English (to be able to fluently read, write and speak)
  • IT skill -Good mastery of the main IT software such as, Microsoft Office, Quick book and Adobe
  • Interpersonal Skill -Experience in strategic and financial planning and management;Good organisational and planning skills;personal and professional skill; negotiation and communication skill; capacity to network; having demonstrated fundraising experience other relational capacities (staff, partners, authorities); Confident to speak in public; Good education skill and people management;Capacityto manage and analysis data;and must demonstrate flexibility, commitment, and the ability to take initiative.
