Take part in a high-level technical strategy planning team to create the network strategic and operations
plan. Advise where the network will be designed, built and maintained using internal resources and where work
will be outsourced.
Assist in the selection and contracting process for network related equipment and services. Ensure that the team
leverages the business opportunity with vendors to maximize the planning and support services included in
vendor bid packages.
Advise on the design and build of all network and IT components.
Oversee all facets of technical operations including network, datacenter and cloud services.
Manage the company’s IT programs designed to support the day-to-day network and compute needs of the
business including hardware, software, systems administration, user support and security.
Maintain and develop industry knowledge including awareness of emerging companies, products and industry
Be involved in the overall strategy for the network ensuring that this is fully connected into the next generation
Take an active role in hiring, training, and retaining competent staff
Five or more years’ experience in the lead network management role in a telecom company equivalent to the role
of Head of Operation or Senior Operation Manager. At least 8 years’ experience in combination of network
engineering, operations, maintenance, Senior IT role.
Ability to motivate and direct staff as well as communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to coach and mentor employees for improved performance
Strong communications and interpersonal skills; able to persuade and motivate
Thorough end to end understanding of the network design, build and operations process and network
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people including participate in highly technical
discussions with engineers and systems designers
Strong analytical skills are required to address complex issues
Able to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, legal documents or
Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies or members of the business
and general community at large
Must have a positive professional attitude and approach when conducting business with internal and external
Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, clients, public groups, and/or
boards of directors
Project management, vendor negotiations and contracting skills.
Ability to build strong relationship with customers and advise them on their connectivity and digital needs
Advanced degree in engineering or related field. Experience in Information Technology in support of company
wide computing needs.
