Responsibilities
Labor Relation
- Establish and maintain a strong and healthy relationship with all staff
- Report any potential or actual grievances, employees’ concerns to Manager in timely manner
- Ensure healthy work relationships and a supportive atmosphere at the workplace
- Build strong and healthy relationship with township labor office and social security office
- Support Manager in handling dispute resolutions involving unions, management, employees or government authorities, etc.
- Keep an eye on updates of labor laws and report Manager
- Prepare and submit documents required by township labor office
- Help staff in the Social Security Claimants
Recruitment & Selection
- Manage the recruitment of daily wages workers and support the Manger the recruitment of permanent employees
- Coordinate with other departments and ensure workstation and onboarding materials are ready before the new employee joins (this includes preparation of staff ID, onboarding pack, etc.)
- Ensure smoth exit process for exiting employees
- Maintain employees’ personal files and keep good record of it
Information Circulation & Reporting
- Support Manager in preparing and feeding information to HR dashboard
- Produce other HR reports as needed from time to time
Engagement & Activities
- Support the Manager in executing organizational activities
Performance Management
- Support the Manager in the implementation of Performance Management system and managing its activities
- Monitor staff attendance and leave/absent
Training
- Support the Manager in organizing training programs
External Audits
- Support the Manager in facilitating external auditors
HSE
- Provide support to the Manager in managing HSE related activities
Other HR Duties
- Support the Manager in preparing HR Letters and announcements in both English & Myanmar languages
- Monitor staff contract renewal dates and report to Manager 3 months in advance
- Manage ferry service and way plan for the employees
- Support the Manager in HR digitization projects
SKILLS OR COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENT
- Ability to be discrete and keep confidential information
- Creative thinking & ability to resolve problems using root cause analysis and take into consideration of consequences
- Has maturity and ability to listen as well as the ability to understand people’s background and motives
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to plan ahead and work in a systematic and organized way.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws
- Ability to tolerate stress
- Highly adaptable and respond positively to change with a willingness to learn
- Organizational agility
- Fluency in both English and Myanmar languages
- An Internationally recognized HRM Diploma (ABE or Equivalent)
- Proven experience as a HR Officer (Generalist) for minimum 2 years in manufacturing or construction business
- Computer literate and proficient in MS Office Suite and Computer skills
