Pre-Sales Engineer
Job Description
- Coordinate closely with internal sales, sales support and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
- Attending meetings with customers and providing solutions for clients
- Using technical skills to demonstrate to potential customers, the usefulness of the product or service and how it may suit the customer better than competing products.
- Proven technology skills, outstanding interpersonal abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, plus analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Sales Support CTEs will help the company realize its revenue goals by leveraging their past experience in presales engineering and/or consulting experience within a specific market, a strong understanding of segment-specific challenges, strong relationships within the customer base, and the consulting community that serves this market.
- Self-motivated and competitive yet driven attitude
- Preparing quotations and enquiries from customers
- Works deals assigned to the sales team supported, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit, or as directed by the sales manager.
- Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
- Secures from customer technical staff commitments needed to ensure a deal’s “technical close.”
- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported.
- Provides coaching and professional development to team member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience in engineering, information systems, or business administration
- 2 to 3 years in similar position and 3 to 5 years in sales engineering or consulting
- Familiarity with testing practices and software compliance domains
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate product feedback to delivery, product management and engineering teams
- Ability to assist sales in responding to RFIs/RFPs
- Ability to participate in trade shows, industry events, and webinar
- Demonstrated ability to understand product roadmap for multiple product lines and know how to communicate in a pre-sales environment
- Proven technology skills, outstanding interpersonal abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, plus analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Positive, service-oriented personality
- Experiences and proven track record in the related field is essential.
