Shwe Yamin Foundation

About Me

Shwe Yamin Foundation was established in May 2016 and has been based on the Founder (Ms. Yamin Thiri Zaw)'s philanthropic activities in Myanmar, focused on assisting underprivileged children. Ms. Yamin and her husband Mr. David Philip Doehm have a close working relationship with Rotary Club of Kowloon North in previous service projects for underprivileged children in Hong Kong, namely, the Hub Children &Youth Centre operating since 2012.

In May 2016,Shwe Yamin Foundation has started at Thanlyin monastery with the total of hundred children from the countryside which was difficult to continue their education. Since then, the SYF provided full facilities for those children including foods, shelters,clothes,education,health,dental care,etc. The SYF also opened and gave the free medical services near Thanlyin area whose were not afford money to go clinic. The SYF provided the clinic building and free medical clinic including doctor, nurse and nurse aids. All the medicines and services are free. The SYF run those services till 2020.

The Vocational Training Center was opened in August 2019 and starting the training program for all girls whose were in need of help to establish their start up business.
