Description and Requirement

EYFS Teaching Assistants (TAs) play a vital role in supporting young children's early learning and development in a nurturing and engaging environment. Working closely with the homeroom teachers, they help create a stimulating classroom where children feel safe, confident, and eager to explore. EYFS TAs assist with delivering play-based learning activities, supporting children's social, emotional, and physical development, and ensuring each child receives the individual attention they need. They also help with classroom organisation, behaviour management, and observations, contributing to a positive and enriching early years experience. Through their dedication and care, EYFS TAs play a key part in laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or relevant experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities and a willingness to be involved in the wider life of the school.
  • A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life.
  • Good level of IT skills.
  • A clean background or police check and no question regarding suitability to work with children.
