Description and Requirement
Functional Responsibilities
The main functions of the Programme Management Intern (Gender and PSEA) include:
Support the implementation of the Gender work plan
- Assist in the preparation of UNOPS gender International Event Days, such as 16 Days of Activism, IDAHOBIT days, and International Women's Day
- Participate in the monthly Gender Group meeting and organize meetings of the UNOPS Gender Group and support the preparation of briefing materials ahead of Gender meetings
- Assist in the collection and preparation of reports on Gender achievements, including collecting regular stories on Gender mainstreaming in collaboration with Gender and PSEA Focal Points
Support the implementation of the PSEA Workplan
- Assist in capacity-building support activities, as required, which includes organising meetings, trainings, workshops, and documentation
- Support the implementation of improvement plans for partners to enhance PSEA and pinpoint areas for improvement
- Aid in reviewing PSEA minimum requirement documentation that is submitted by implementing partners
- Assist in data management and tools development as needed, which may include data entry, compilation, and analysis
- Assist in preparing PSEA yearly compliance report for UNOPS funded partners
- Provide translation support as needed.
Requirements
Education/Experience/Language requirements
Education
- Candidates must be enrolled in a university degree program or have graduated within the last three years
- Relevant university degrees may be in subjects such as international development, programme management, and gender studies, however, all current enrollees or recent graduates will be considered according to the above requirement
Work Experience
- Some experience in any of the following areas (including a combination): prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, gender, gender based violence, sexual harassment, and workplace conduct is desirable.
- Knowledge of Myanmar context related to gender, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, and abuse is preferred.
- Quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills are preferable.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (eg. MS Office newer versions, Google Suite Applications) is required.
Languages
- Fluency in both English and Myanmar is required.
